DIY CARDBOARD BUNNY TOP HAT

Growing up the Easter bonnet parade at school was one of my most favourite things to do. Mum use to give us an old ice cream bucket for a hat and we would decorate it with easter eggs, crepe paper, egg cartons and ribbons.  Well, nowadays a lot has changed, well not everything and I’m still up-cycling but my expectations are higher.

This cardboard Bunny Top Hat with ears is the perfect bonnet to make for the kids to decorate for their schools Easter bonnet parade. The idea of the cardboard ears poking out the top of a top hat is a mash together of two characters from Alice In Wonderland, the March Hare and the Mad Hatter.

It's a relatively easy DIY costume to make as you download the template and print out at home onto A4 or letter paper. Lay and cut the template out of cardboard then glue it together.

Two images one with a whimsical easter parade hat decoration made to look like a little fairy house inside the hat, the other of a child dress up in a DIY cardboard hat made to look like the Mad Hatter from Alice and Wonderland costume.

Let your imagination run wild as you decorate your Bunny Top Hat! This versatile template can be transformed into so many fun creations, from a charming Easter parade bonnet to a whimsical Alice in Wonderland Mad Hatter hat. The possibilities are endless! No matter how you choose to decorate your Easter Bonnet, you're sure to turn heads at any Easter parade or celebration.

The Bunny Top Hat measures 47cm width, 30cm in height with the hat size oval measuring 18.5 by 20 cms.
